T.J. Oshie undergoes surgery for broken clavicle-Dr. Patel

T.J. Oshie of the Washington Capitals underwent surgery for a broken clavicle sustained on Thursday’s Game 4 loss after being shoved from behind into the boards. The surgery was likely placement of a plate and screws to stabilize the broken bone.
For hockey players, return to play is generally about 8-10 weeks. This unfortunately leaves him out for the remainder of the playoffs, which is a major blow for the Capitals.
