Hurricanes winger Sebastian Aho to miss time with concussion and LE injury-Dr. Morse

Carolina Hurricanes winger Sebastian Aho has suffered a concussion & LE injury. He will likely return in the next 7-10 days from the concussion depending on whether or not his symptoms continue. According to studies, 69% of players return within that period. The goal is always to have the athlete return to baseline and be able to physically exert themselves without any recurrence of symptoms. However, the lower body injury may end up taking longer than that as specifics are not yet known.

T.J. Oshie undergoes surgery for broken clavicle-Dr. Patel

T.J. Oshie of the Washington Capitals underwent surgery for a broken clavicle sustained on Thursday’s Game 4 loss after being shoved from behind into the boards. The surgery was likely placement of a plate and screws to stabilize the broken bone.
For hockey players, return to play is generally about 8-10 weeks. This unfortunately leaves him out for the remainder of the playoffs, which is a major blow for the Capitals.

Devils goalie Cory Schneider undergoes hip surgery-Dr. Parekh

New Jersey Devils goalie Cory Schneider underwent surgery to repair cartilage in his left hip. RTP should be 6-9 months. Cartilage damage in the hip often takes longer to heal.
