Injury Info: Cincinnati Bengals RB Jeremy Hill suffered a left ankle injury. The details are limited but expect him to miss 1-2 weeks if this is a minor ankle sprain, 2-4 weeks if it is a high-ankle sprain, and 8-12 weeks if he ended up fracturing the ankle. Hill, who had started all 3 preseason games, was expected to share the workload with Giovani Bernard, be also serve as the primary goal-line-back. With Hill struggling in the preseason before the injury (18 carries for 69 yards, 3.83 YPC), and now suffering an injury, if he is going to miss any significant amount of time, rookie Joe Mixon becomes a very important name to fantasy folks. Mixon, an impressive rookie out of Oklahoma, taken with the 48th overall pick in the 2nd round of the 2017 draft, now gets the opportunity to take over as the team’s lead back. Mixon has been the offense’s most impressive back so far this preseason, showing balance and explosion, he’s stacked up 78 yards over 20 carries adding 3 catches for 32 yards. I’m personally quite high on Mixon, and think it is only a matter of time before he takes over in Cincinnati. His ADP has continued to increase after Hill’s injury, as he is now being drafted as the 18th RB overall in standard 12-team leagues, 3.12, and a little later in PPR leagues as the 20th RB taken at 4.05. It remains to be seen how significant Hill’s injury is, and we will have more information about it as clearer news becomes available, but for fantasy purposes, draft Mixon higher than you previously would have as his opportunity may be coming sooner than many anticipated.
Injury Affects: Joe Mixon, Giovani Bernard, A.J. Green, Brandon LaFell, Tyler Eifert
Replacement: Joe Mixon
Current draft position: 12th round, 1st pick. RB50 (PPR), RB44 in standard (9.12)
Draft instead: Joe Mixon, Theo Riddick, Duke Johnson, Rex Burkhead, James White, Matt Forte, Chris Carson

NFL Week 8 Injury Review
As week eight comes to a close, unfortunately we saw several big-name players again go down with injury. The San Francisco 49ers continue to be ravaged by injury, as they likely lost both George Kittle and Jimmy Garoppolo for the remainder of the season. Kittle fractured a bone in his foot, and Garoppolo re-injured his high ankle sprain. Add in Tevin Coleman, who was recently activated off IR due to a knee injury, re-injured the same knee and is awaiting additional imaging.
