Aakash Chauhan, MD, MBA is an orthopaedic surgeon who specializes in hand, elbow, shoulder, and sports medicine. He went to University of Illinois in Champaign and completed a combined MD/MBA from Indiana University School of Medicine/Kelley School of Business afterwards. He completed orthopaedic surgery residency at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA where he had the opportunity to learn about taking care of MLB players with the Pittsburgh Pirates. He then went on to do fellowship training at University of California- San Diego and Scripps Clinic where he completed dual fellowships in hand/upper extremity and shoulder and sports medicine surgery. There he also helped care for NFL, MLB, and NCAA Division 1 athletes. He has presented his research nationally and won multiple awards for his projects. He also has published numerous studies in high impact peer-reviewed research journals on professional baseball players. He currently practices with Dupage Medical Group in the western suburbs of Chicago. He loves fantasy sports and has been playing for almost 20 years.
